DAY 1: Overnight Flight to Ireland Today board your overnight flight to experience the Irish Discovery. Day 2: Welcome to Dublin Ireland On arrival in Ireland you will meet with your driver guide and transfer to Dublin area. Tonight enjoy a welcome dinner with your fellow travelers. (D) Overnight: Dublin Day 3: Dublin – Limerick / Clare Today enjoy a Dublin City Tour to see Grafton Street, statue lined O’Connell Street, the General Post Office & Phoenix Park. Visit the famous Christchurch Cathedral & visit Trinity College where the 1,200 year old Book of Kells is housed. Trinity college was founded in 1592 by Queen Elizabeth 1st and is the oldest University in Ireland. Next travel to County Clare and check into your hotel for a two-night stay. (B) Overnight: Limerick / Clare Day 4: Limerick – Burren – Cliffs of Moher Today travel to the spectacular Cliffs of Moher. View the mighty Atlantic and the beautiful Aran Islands from atop cliffs that reach nearly 700 feet into the air. Travel through the Burren Region and the Burren National Park an area known for limestone natural beauty. Later this afternoon enjoy a Limerick City Tour to see the attractive St. Mary’s Cathedral, King John’s Castle and the Treaty Stone. This evening enjoy an optional medieval banquet dinner and entertainment at Bunratty Castle built in the 15th century. The entertainment is provided by the Bunratty Singers, a true step back in time to Medieval Ireland. (B) Overnight: Limerick / Clare Day 5: Limerick / Clare - Adare - Killarney This morning stop in Adare, renowned as Ireland’s prettiest village. Next visit the Foynes Flying Boat Museum, housed in the original terminal building, the birthplace of “Irish” Coffee. Learn how to make a traditional Irish Coffee and enjoy a tasting. Later arrive in the charming & picturesque town of Killarney. Free time for lunch on your own. Next embark on a Jaunting Car Ride into the Killarney National Park. The horse drawn Jaunting Car experience ends at the Muckross House & Garden, a 19th century Victorian mansion on the shores of Muckross Lake. An opportunity to walk the grounds and take some photos before arriving back at your hotel. The evening is at leisure. (B) Overnight: Tralee
Day 6: Limerick - Ring of Kerry - Tralee Today embark on Ireland’s most popular and gorgeous scenic drives, the 100 mile Ring of Kerry. This winding route reveals breathtaking views of Macgillycuddy’s Reeks as well as the scenic coast of beaches and cliffs. As you travel along, there will be plenty of stops for photos at the best vantage points. After a casual lunch in a cozy restaurant you’ll continue your scenic drive. Focus your cameras on the majestic seascapes, mountains speckled with brightly colored farm houses and winding lanes bordered with luscious vegetation. Drive through Glenbeigh where the cliff road affords panoramic views of the Dingle Peninsula and Dingle Bay. Passing through the peat bogs arrive at the sea town of Waterville and continue to Sneem Village, famous for its brightly coloured houses. The road continues through the mountains to Molls Gap and Ladies View with superb views of the famous Lakes of Killarney. Return to your hotel later this afternoon. Tonight enjoy a Farewell dinner featuring traditional Irish entertainment. (B,D) Overnight: Tralee Day 7: Tralee – Kilkenny - Dublin This morning depart Tralee en-route to Kilkenny. Enjoy free time for lunch and shopping in Kilkenny. Depart for Dublin and arrive the early afternoon. Next enjoy a tour of the Guinness Storehouse telling the tale of Ireland’s most famous beer including a tasting at the rooftop bar with panoramic views of Dublin. The evening is at leisure to explore Dublin on your own. (B) Overnight: Dublin Day 8: Dublin – Flight Home Transfer to Dublin Airport for your journey home with memories of your Irish Discovery. (B)
Optional 2 Nights BELFAST Post Tour +$595 pp double/+$150 single supplement Day 8: Dublin - Belfast – Titanic Belfast Depart Dublin today and journey to Belfast, the capital of and largest city in Northern Ireland. Enjoy a Belfast City Tour to learn about the history & struggles of the city as you drive through its districts and neighborhoods. Later visit Titanic Belfast, a museum on the site of the former Harland & Wolfe Shipyard where the Titanic was built and launched in 1912. As you journey through the nine large galleries of the interactive exhibition, you will uncover the true story of the Titanic, from her conception in Belfast in the early 1900’s, through her construction and launch, to her famous maiden voyage and subsequent place in history. (B) Overnight: Belfast Day 9: Belfast – Giants Causeway Today travel to the North Antrim coast to see the Giants Causeway, often described as the Eighth Wonder of the World and declared Ireland’s first World Heritage site by UNESCO in 1986. The new Visitor center explores the major themes of mythology, geology, landscape, ecology, culture and social history based on this UNESCO World Heritage site that consists of 40,000 basalt polygonal columns formed 60 million years ago after a volcanic eruption. This amazing landscape has become one of Ireland’s top must see attractions. This evening enjoy dinner with your fellow travelers. (B,D) Overnight: Belfast Day 10: Belfast – Dublin – Flight Home Depart Belfast and transfer to the Dublin Airport for your flight home with memories of your Irish Discovery. (B) Inclusions: Two nights at the Wellington Park Hotel or similar, 2 breakfasts, 1 dinner, Professional Driver/Guide, Modern Deluxe Motorcoach, Baggage Handling, Sightseeing & Admissions per Itinerary, Airport Transfers. ** Extension must be booked/payed for with your initial $500 pp tour deposit.
